I became the Student Pastor in June 2017. I have been a member of Clinton FBC since 1997. This was a true calling from God, because it scared me to death (still does)! I had gotten involved with our Youth Ministry again back in 2015 with a burden to make sure our students leaving for college and their careers were well grounded in the Biblical teachings of God's Word. I wanted to make sure they knew why they believed what they believed and how to share what they believed. That burden is still what I am passionate about today. Along with a focus on teaching our students how to do and share: Worship, Ministry, Evangelism, Fellowship, and Discipleship. Which are all found in Matthew 22:37-40 (the greatest command) and Matthew 28:19-20 (the great commission).

My wife Shiela and I married on Aug. 13, 1994 and have four children. Drew (born in 1996) is a Police Officer with the City of Little Rock, Travis (born in 1998) is a student at Arkansas Tech, Nathan (born in 2003), and Natalie (born in 2006). I am a graduate of Muskogee High School in Muskogee, OK class of 1992. I graduated from Central Baptist College with a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems in 2015, summa cum laude (if you know me, that's a BIG deal).

I heard the Lord's calling on my life on October 2, 2016 to be our Student Pastor. This was not a quick decision, I wanted the Lord to confirm that this is what He wanted me to do by other people telling me without me ever saying anything about it. God answered that prayer in so many different ways and through so many different people, I could not deny this was a true calling from God. I should have known God was up to something when I hated every one of my technology classes in college but LOVED every one of my Bible classes!!

My commitment to our church is to help lead our Student Ministry to build our students up in their walk with Christ.
